Always bitching about stress, but these last few days have been the ones where I am so overwhelmed nothing feels real. Like when I’m driving and my head is in a fog. It was such a relief today when I spoke to my boss about not working as much and she was okay with it. She told me how much I do for her and her kids and I was given a raise. I can’t believe this. I am so appreciative. It’s one small burden off my chest tonight. I get way too worked up over things that are manageable. I’m teaching at the high school Monday though, and I’m really happy about it. I want to do everything and on my own. Some days there is just too much. As my friend kristen would say, “growing up is getting me down”. Gotta be thankful and less worried about life.

Rembrandt’s “Return of the Prodigal Son” 1662. I think it is one of those paintings which is hard not to respond to. There is an awful lot going on in it and surely some facet of it should reach out and tug on some kind of emotional response.

Love this. so much going on with the lighting and the focus. Damn…Rembrandt.

Working on art pieces for a spring show. It’s going to be held in my front/back yard. Networking through artists in the area and going to try to get as many artists involved as possible. Our goal is 30 artists, but I feel like that estimate is fairly high. It’s funny though, I am going to have to try and sound legit and coordinate everything. I have never done anything like this before. Happy but anxious.

Also, Cali bound in 9 days. Get to see fam and soak up the sun my pale ass body desperately needs.
